We like "hot" research articles and try to publish them in the next issue. Rapid publication requires electronic submission, and a short turn around time for revisions by the autors(approx. one week). Our referees are typically leaders in the field. The authors are encouraged to propose referees. We guarantee that the referee reports are constructive and have a positive attitude.
Giving a quantitative meaning to qualitative descriptions of complex systems is well suited for essays and commentaries. We encourage the discussion of new definitions, conjectures, and simple models.
If you recently published a textbook or book related to the field of Complexity, send us a brief version (2-10 printed pages) of the best chapter in your book. We will enjoy to publish it as a tutorial or essay. We will try to publish a book review of your book in the same issue. This gives you free advertisement for your book.
Authors of research papers typically receive referee reports within one month. Authors of review articles, tutorials, commentaries, and essays receive a referee report within two to six months, depending on the length of the article. When a paper is revised and resubmitted the author receives feedback within one month. We send revised papers to original referees. However, we may contact additional referees to resolve open issues, or of the original referee is not available.
